A-TEK and prime contract teaming partner, NOVA Research Company, Team NOVA, announced its recent contract award to support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The mission of the NIAID is to conduct and support basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases.
Under this contract Team NOVA will provide Reservations, Event Coordination, and Logistics Support Services for NIAID-Operated, State-of-the-art Conference Center, an NIH-wide federal conferencing facility. The contract was awarded with a 1 year base period and four option periods.
When discussing the importance of this work, Vice President of Health Services, Stephanie Cumberbatch stated, “A-TEK has been a dedicated mission-partner to the NIH for over 19 years, providing enterprise IT and scientific support services. We are pleased to team with NOVA Research Company to support NIAID’s mission. By supporting NIAID’s state of the art conference center which includes over 50 conference rooms, learning centers and telepresence facilities, we are enabling an integral aspect of the research mission which is facilitating collaboration and information sharing. These meeting facilities support scientific conferences and reviews for NIAID as well as the NIH community. Official scientific meetings, reviews and related conference venues are central to carrying out the mission of the Institute as a recognized world leader in infectious diseases research.”
