McLean, VA, November 5, 2020 – A-TEK, Inc. announced today that Steve Erd has joined their leadership  team as Vice President, Business Development and Capture.  With over 20 years of federal government contracting experience with small and large companies, Steve applies his government and policy experience supporting various agencies to his role as a corporate leader and business development professional.  He brings to A-TEK an innovative, disciplined, and thoughtful approaches to drive growth by addressing a myriad of pressing government needs in support of federal health missions.

As Vice President, Business Development and Capture, Steve will lead the business development organization to execute the new business growth strategy through customer engagement, strategic positioning, solutions development, and internal and external partner relationships.  He will leverage his experience by working closely with his peers across both Federal Civilian and Federal Health operating divisions, and functional support organizations to drive pipeline identification, qualification, capture and proposal management to develop new lines of business and expand market positioning in targeted segments.

Before joining A-TEK, Steve served in a similar capacity with Unissant, Lexis/Nexus and Northrop Grumman achieving growth objectives in targeted Health and Civilian agencies, including HHS HQ, NIH, CMS, VA, Military Health, and SSA.

Steve is a graduate of George Washington University School of Business and Professional Management, having earned a Masters in Public Administration.  He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ohio State University.

Steve has held leadership positions as Past President of Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) NCA Chapter, AFCEA Bethesda Health IT Summit Committee Co-Chair, and an awardee of the FedHealthIT 100 Award in 2018.
